IBM has planted
trees and counting!

It’s clear that environmentally-minded organizations are set up for long-term success.

That's why IBM is actively engaging with our ecosystem of Business Partners in EMEA for a second year to embrace sustainability as a core aspect of the IBM Storage portfolio.

As a special EMEA initiative in 4Q 2023, IBM has planted 100,000 trees as a result of IBM Storage Business Partners working together to sell IBM FlashSystem arrays and IBM b-type SAN switches. Thanks to our ecosystem of Business Partners we have reached our goal of planting 100,000 trees responsibly with Ecologi!

Through IBM Storage initiatives, IBM has planted 275,402 trees responsibly with Ecologi across 13 projects thanks to the following programs:

  • Flash4Good Q423 100,000 trees planted
  • IBM Race2Cyber Vault 37,500 trees planted
  • Flash4Good Q422 114,550 trees planted
  • IBM Storage User Group 1,001 trees planted
  • IBM EMEA Ecosystem Marketing 600 trees planted
  • IBM Mission2StorageIsland 21, 751 trees planted

What is Flash4Good?

In 4Q 2022, IBM actively engaged with their ecosystem of Business Partners in EMEA to embrace sustainability as a core aspect of the IBM Storage portfolio. Thanks to IBM’s commitment and through the total sales of FlashSystem arrays in 4Q 2022, 114,550 trees were planted responsibly with Ecologi.

IBM is continuing this program as part of its commitment to sustainability. Help us reach our goal of planting 100,00 trees in Q4 2023 with this initiative.

Who is Ecologi?

Founded in 2019, UK-based organisation Ecologi inspires and empowers businesses to accelerate global climate action. Ecologi started as a subscription service for individuals but has rapidly evolved into a passionate community of over 19,000 businesses and 40,000 members.

Through Ecologi, IBM is purchasing the planting of trees across various projects. On the Mission2StorageIsland contest, for example, trees have been planted in projects across Mozambique, Kenya, Morocco, Madagascar and Senegal.
